Results can be ready within 1-2 days, depending on when the sample is received by the hospital lab. Our labs are open to process samples 7 days a week.
How does T2’s test kit work?
We offer a molecular diagnosis for a One-Step Reverse Transcription Real-Time PCR Kit designed to detect Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and variants. It provides a fast diagnostic method for both asymptomatic and symptomatic patients, enabling quick intervention and rapid care. The test converts the RNA of the SARS-CoV-2 virus into DNA if present in the sample. This DNA is then amplified to an amount that can be detected and analyzed by our hospital partners.
What is a false negative result?
You may show a negative result even when infected if it is too early in the infection to detect the virus or there was a problem with the sample or test itself.
If results are negative and you have symptoms, continue to follow isolation guidelines and speak to your healthcare provider immediately.
What is a false positive result?
You may show a positive result even if you are not infected with COVID-19 if there are problems with the sample during collection, transport, and/or testing. The test has been designed to minimize these incidents, but if you are concerned with the accuracy of results, talk to your healthcare provider.
